Writing Work
- Learn To Write For A
Living
If you know how to write a letter – and this IS
a dying art – then you have what it takes to earn money
by writing.
You see, knowing how to put thoughts into words, words
into sentences, sentences in to paragraphs etc is very
highly valued to people with websites.
Many website owners are great at designing and
building sites, finding great products to market, or
creating their own to sell. These are their
skills. But
quite often they cannot spell and have poor
grammar. Lots
of them are too lazy (or just don’t know how) to put capital
letter on proper nouns! And this really affects their
websites’ credibility.
The good thing is though, they acknowledge this
weakness. So
many of them are now outsourcing their content writing
to people who CAN write. They provide the keywords
they want included and ask for whatever length of document
they need.
But they are not looking for, nor are they
prepared to pay for, journalists to do this writing work.
They want everyday people to write in everyday language –
language that is appropriate to their
audience. Of
course if the writing work they need is about a technical
subject, they will look for someone with some knowledge
on the topic, or someone who is prepared to research
it.
There are websites that are dedicated to
bringing together those who need to outsource their
writing work, and those who are looking to perform
it. A browse
of these sites will reveal the variety of topics that
need writers – cooking, traveling, acting, gardening,
business, finance, woodwork, babies, health and beauty –
the list is huge!
So if you add your knowledge or expertise on a
topic, with your ability to write – you have what is
needed to earn money right away.
Once you deliver quality material to your client,
on time and within budget, it is often the case that you
will get repeat and ongoing business.
The beauty of doing this type of writing work is
that you can do it full time, part time, in your spare
time, when you need a little extra cash; you can do
wearing your pyjamas, sweats or slippers. Working like this from
home is a low-stress alternative to joining the rat race
every day!
